If you’re anything like me - you’ve probably got at least 2 PCs and a smart phone - and have files distributed all over the place, and waste time emailing files to yourself to move them between systems.
Dropbox have created a really speedy, and simple file-sync tool that performs a background syncronization of your folders between PCs, Macs, Linux based systems and even the iPhone. Plus your data is also hosted on your Dropbox in the cloud - and accessible through a web browser - so you can access it from everywhere. You get 2GB for free, and can upgrade to 50GB for $9.99/month.
The current beta version (from the dropbox forums) also introduces LAN sync, so once a large file is sent up to the cloud; if your other PC is on the local network - the file is copied directly, saving time and bandwidth.
I’ve been using it for about 6 months - and haven’t had a single issue with the service. I can’t reccomend them highly enough. Check it out through my referral link - Dropbox - and if you start using it, I get another 250M free ;-)
